Single Origin 12 oz. Medium-Light roast. Tasting notes honey, peach, bright, floral, acidic. The Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Idido is sourced from small coffee producers organized around the Idido coffee mill, located in the Gedeo Zone of the Yirgacheffe district. The Gedeo Zone is named after the Gedeo people who are indigenous to this area. Ripe cherries, indigenous varietals, are delivered to the mill and sun-dried on raised beds for approx. 12-15 days. In the daytime, the cherries need to be raked continuously in order to ensure a consistent drying process. In the daytime, it will be covered from 12 to 3 pm in order to protect it from the hot sun, as well as, when the night comes, the beds are carefully covered to protect it from rainfall. The beans are transported in parchment to Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, to be milled and bagged prior to export.

COCAPEC began with almost 300 members in its first year of operations, and today it has grown to over 2,000 members. COCAPEC is renowned in this coffee-growing region for its technical support and natural drying methods. The cooperatives technical department works in partnership with its members to guarantee consistent coffee quality. Currently, the high Mogiana region has an average annual production of more than one million bags of coffee, of which 85% is high-quality beans produced at an optimal altitude and temperature.

Don Pedro Echavarria established the Santa Barbara Estate almost three decades ago with the vision of producing a superior quality Colombian Coffee. This vision is proudly shared by all in the Santa Barbara Estate family. This Estate is one of the few completely integrated coffee farms in Colombia, which ensures traceability and close quality control from seed to cup. A combination of factors such as climate, altitude, constant care, renovation of trees, and good volcanic soil provide the basis for excellent coffee production. Education and incentive programs encourage the workers to focus on quality rather than quantity.

Member Estate, located in Mbozi, Mbeya in Southwest Tanzania, was established in 1995 by Joseph Melia, a Swiss immigrant who arrived in Tanzania almost a decade earlier. Joseph initially planted about 100 hectares of Bourbon with some Kent on the land and has, over the past three decades, expanded production to cover the full 160 hectares of the farm. During harvest, Mr. Joseph employs over 150 men and women from the surrounding community to assist with the production and processing of the coffee on the estate.

Gender equality was an important factor when the land was purchased and divided among producers. This particular cooperative is unique because they empower and promote women-grown coffee. These women contribute to the physical and sensory quality of the coffee. They are always managing new projects and developing new ways to improve the lives of their families. They focus their efforts on improving quality and delivering consistent coffee to different markets. In 2016, a committee of women was created by the cooperative and they are responsible for distributing loans that will enable producers to improve their own land.
