Namugo is the local name in the Okapa dialect for the rainforest. Namugo is dominated by hills and mountains, diverse micro climates that allow the production of quality coffee. The rainforest offers all environment characteristics that coffee need to develop well during the growth stage. Only red cherries are harvest and delicately processed to get the best quality. Parchment coffee is stored in well ventilated warehouses before sold.
Among coffee-producing countries, Sumatra is a remarkable sort of outlier: Though the Pacific island came to grow coffee because of European influence, like much of the rest of the "New World," the coffees produced in this region are special and specific to the terroir, traditions and culture of Sumatra.
This Konga coffee, from a microregion within the Gedeo Zone of Yirgacheffe, is named after the local tribe, Konga Sede, and comes from the Konga washing station located near the kebele (village) of Sede. There are 5,000 farmers and 10 mills represented in this lot. One mill can produce an average of five containers of washed coffee, and four of natural-process coffee. The region's average annual production is between 40 and 50 containers. Other common local crops include bananas and corn.
This coffee is sourced from family-owned farms organized around the Ingoboka cooperative located near the shores of Kivu Lake, one of the African Great Lakes, in the Rutsiro district of Rwanda. Ingoboka was established in 2004 and currently has 135 members, 47 of whom are women. Ingoboka maintains a children’s school fund to assist members with education expenses, and a health insurance program to improve access to medical care.

The coffee come from Cerrado Mineiro in the state of Minas Gerais, one of Brazil’s most important coffee regions. These coffees will be a step-up from your traditional Brazilian profile. Brazil produces about 1/3 of the total world coffee production (including Arabica and Robusta) hence the importance in the global setting. A record harvest will make the coffee market tank while a significant frost will make it rally.
Nueva Linda is a specialty coffee estate managed by producer Jose Moguel. It is located in the Sierra Madre mountains of southern Mexico in the state of Chiapas. The farm shares a buffer with the Triunfo Biospehere reserve, a 50,000-acre tropical cloud forest which helps to temper a changing climate and provide rich soil and clean water.
Coffee from this area has been produced and processed since the 16th century. Cafe Imports Yemen Haraaz Red Marqaha is purchased as ripe cherry from the growers and dried on raised beds. It is described as "big, clean red fruit and a juicy, almost nectar-like body." Due to civil war it is rare to get coffee from this region and even more rare to have it expertly roasted.
