A dry oatmeal stout made with dark roasted malt. This malt is what gives this beer its black as coal color and dark chocolate flavor. The nitrogen/carbon dioxide blend gives this beer a creamy head and smooth drink-ability. IBU - 38. Malt varieties: pale malt, dark crystal malt, black malt, chocolate malt; hop varieties: challenger.
This hybrid beer has the hop & malt profile similar to our standard IPA, but is fermented with a Belgian Trappist yeast strain and Citra, a newer hop variety. This combination gives this beer a citrus-tropical fruit aroma and spicy characteristics.
Served in a traditional way from a cask and "beer engine" and served at cellar temperature.
