This vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and Merlot varieties. The Cabernet offers black cherry flavors and plenty of supple tannins. Petite Sirah contributes lush ripe plum and berry flavors plus adding to the wine body. Merlot adds floral scents and a smooth mouthfeel. Barrel aging occurred in neutral 60-gallon oak cooperage allowing the wine to develop complex yet not be dominated by aggressive oak flavors. Must be 21 to purchase.
IL CUORE Zinfandel grapes were harvested from a premier vineyard in Lodi, famous for fertile soil and excellent Zinfandel production. . We sourced Petite Sirah to increase the rich dark red color, fruit flavors, and smooth mouth-feel of the blend. Premium Zinfandel wine has bountiful fruit aromas and flavors that have become some of California’s finest red wines. Old-school winemaking techniques and artful blending are used to make a ready-to-drink Zinfandel today, yet with cellar aging potential for the next several years. Must be 21 to purchase.
IL Cuore Chardonnay is produced from grapes grown exclusively in the cool coastal region of Mendocino County, the viticultural “heart” of California. Vineyards in this region invoke Chardonnays that are fresh with apple and pear flavors, complemented by floral nuances in the bouquet. The fresh, graceful style of IL CUORE Chardonnay results from cold fermentation in small stainless steel vessels and small components of barrel fermentation in mostly neutral small oak cooperage. The balanced use of oak in our winemaking offers versatility with a wide range of foods. Must be 21 to purchase.
The grapes for our Pinot Noir are selected from the cool climate regions of Monterey and Santa Barbara County to produce a wine that is both complex and approachable. Fragrant aromatics of cranberry and red raspberry also carry through on the palate and are followed by notes of green tea, cedar, and spice. Silky. Harvested from the Sacramento Delta Region where the days are bright and sunny and nights are cool. This is a classic California Sauvignon Blanc with notes of citrus, melon and stone fruit. Crisp and refreshing. Beautiful with seafood and poultry and a perfect accompaniment to goat cheese, salads and vegetable crudités. Must be 21 to purchase.
The 2017 California harvest was another in a string of great vintages. A mild winter and spring led to early bud-break and, thankfully, very few frost events. A moderate summer followed allowing the grapes to ripen evenly. A hallmark of this vintage is the small berry size, more skin than juice, which led to outstanding concentration. Our Cabernet Sauvignon shows lush tannins, deep color, and excellent structure. Must be 21 to purchase.
